Winter is coming…

Snow falls cold on the mountain tonight, not a horse step to be found… I love the song Princess Elsa sings while her sister is riding her horse through the snowy woods. Better, I’d love to be riding there myself.  The scenery, the cold, clean air and the silent sound of the song when riding the frost. Better gear up and warm yourself… because… Winter is coming!

What to wear in winter?

What to wear in winter and enjoy riding or hanging around the stable while temperature drops? Best advice is to be dressed in layers, this is the proper way to keep your body temperature in balance. In addition, layered apparal can easily be taken off to avoid perspiration.

Ridingfashion rode out to check the winter collections of some equestrian fashion brands.

Winter riding jackets and long coats, available in all sizes. We have noticed that blue is a popular colour this season. Most coats are also slim fitted. Keep in mind to pick a coat which is and has hand pockets .

I think this would make a great combination. A pair of Ariat full seat breeches and a warm winter coat by Mountain Horse.

Must haves for winter: Riding socks, gloves and a knitted hat.

Keep your head up and your feet warm, that’s what my mother used to say.

Riding Gloves  Kingsland warm coatclassy winter riding style

As we wrote earlier, gloves are an essential part of your riding outfit.  Especially in winter a proper pair of riding gloves not only gives a steady grip, but keeps your hands warm and comfortable. Pretty amazing is the Kingsland winter collection. We do love the warm snow-white riding jacket. The image on the right shows a classy elegant casual winter outfit, equestrian-styled. The tall boots and woolen socks on pantyhose can be worn under a corduroy dress or tweed jacket. Found on the inspiring lifestyle website The Fox and she.
